    CANADIAN-BASED LEDCOR CONSTRUCTION WINS BID

FOR STAGE ONE OF LPIA AIRPORT REDEVELOPMENT

Nassau, June 25, 2009— The Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) today announced that it has awarded Ledcor Construction the contract for the terminal building component of stage one for the Lynden Pindling International Airport’s redevelopment project. The company was one of three to submit bids for consideration.

“We are pleased to announce that Ledcor Construction has secured the winning bid for the General Contractor for the terminal,” said Craig Richmond, President & CEO at NAD. “This is a vital step towards building new terminals and transforming LPIA into a world-class airport facility.”

Stage one of the LPIA redevelopment includes construction of a 247,000 sq. ft. US Departures Terminal and Pier, approximately 1,000,000 sq. ft. of asphalt apron, expanded parking facilities and new roadways. Construction is expected to start next month. The US Departures Terminal is scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2011.

Earlier this year, NAD secured $265 million in financing for this stage of the airport development project.

Stewart Steeves will oversee the entire expansion project in his new position as Vice President of Airport Development at NAD.

“Ledcor is partnering with several local contractors on this stage of the project,” said Mr. Steeves. “We expect that sub trade packages will be tendered in the upcoming months. The project will be in full swing by early next month. Once underway, we anticipate as many as 400 workers on the jobsite”.

Founded in 1947, the Ledcor Group of Companies is one of North America’s leading privately-held construction companies. The company, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, specializes in building, civil industrial, mining, pipeline, and telecommunication projects.

In April 2007, NAD took over the day-to-day operations at LPIA. Since then, more than $11million has been spent on capital improvements at the airport including new and upgraded washrooms, roof repairs, a new $2 million baggage system and baggage carousel and parking lot improvements.
