NAD APPOINTS THREE BAHAMIAN MANAGERS TO

HEAD MOVE INTO NEW TERMINAL

Nassau, Bahamas May 10, 2010—With less than a year until the new U.S. Departures terminal opens, the Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) has appointed three Bahamian managers in key positions to head the transition into the new terminal.

Benjamin Arthur, Manager, Operational Readiness and Transition, Peter Tynes, Manager, Tenant Construction Readiness and Transition, and Cleavon Nixon, Manager, Maintenance Readiness and Transition were selected from a talented pool of 160 employees at the airport management company.

For Stewart Steeves, NAD’s Vice President of Airport Development, the transition team is critical to having the airport fully operational on opening day. “We want a seamless move from one terminal to the next. On day one, all of the airport’s major systems—the $10 million baggage system, new apron drive bridges and all control access points—will be put to the test so it is important to have a competent team in place when the terminal opens next Spring.”

Already, the managers are working with airport stakeholders including tenants, Bahamas Customs and Immigration, U.S. Customs & Border Protection, contractors, airlines and other relevant agencies to create a working plan for the transition.

“Our team is currently developing a master milestone tracking sheet and laying out the plan to each stakeholder,” said Steeves. “Another major aspect of the transition will be extensive training on new airport systems like a state-of-the–art baggage system. During the final months, the focus will shift to orientation and testing of everything from the apron drive bridges to the bathroom faucets prior to opening.”

Days before the scheduled opening, NAD will use hundreds of volunteers in mock travel exercises to test the check-in and baggage collection process. To date, the airport management company has spent $80 million on Stage one construction since breaking ground on the $409.5 million project in July 2009. Work continues on the project with general contractor Ledcor Construction enclosing the structure and preparing to install hurricane-tested curtain walls to the building’s exterior surface.

Nassau, Bahamas May 3, 2010— For two weeks in April, the Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) teamed up with local environmental groups to share information with the travelling public during National Coastal Awareness Month.

The company partnered with the Bahamas National Trust (BNT), The Nature Conservancy (TNC), Bahamas Reef Environment Educational Foundation (BREEF) and others to set up posters and displays in the Domestic Departures Lounge at Lynden Pindling International Airport. According to Eustacia Jennings, NAD’s Environmental Manager, the exercise is in line with the company’s Environmental and Social Policy.

“NAD is committed to promoting the principles of resource conservation. We also seek to raise awareness of environmental matters throughout the airport community,” said Jennings. “We decided to celebrate National Coastal Awareness Month and Earth Day (April 22) by showcasing the importance of our environment, especially our marine habitat.”

In addition to eight posters of common marine species donated by The Nature Conservancy (TNC), the environmental groups set up displays, gave away green bags and shared information with the passengers and employees at the airport. Dozens of passengers and NAD staff also completed the lionfish baseline surveys issued by the Department of Marine Resources as part of the Invasive Alien Species (IAS) Project. These surveys will help to determine the awareness level of environmental threats affecting the Bahamas, in particular the lionfish.

Nassau, Bahamas March 25, 2010—Today, government officials, airport staff and construction workers gathered at the Lynden Pindling International Airport Expansion Project site to witness the last steel being placed on the new U.S. Departures Terminal building.

The ceremony to mark the super structure completion comes just eight months after the Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) and general contractor Ledcor Construction broke ground on the first phase of the $409.5 million airport redevelopment project.

“It is tradition on large scale construction sites for all associated with the project to sign the final steel before it is placed,” said NAD President & CEO Craig Richmond. “We wanted to celebrate this milestone and to thank those who have helped us get to this point.”

The Hon. Brent Symonnette, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Neko Grant, Minister of Public Works & Transport, Vernice Walkine, Director General, Ministry of Tourism & Aviation and NAD Chairman, the Hon. Frank Watson were among those in attendance at Thursday’s event.

Government officials, airport workers and many of the 300-plus construction workers on site signed the final beam of steel before it was hoisted up into the air and fastened to the structure.

To date, NAD has spent more than $78 million on stage one, with a total of 227,887 man hours and approximately 2,000 tons of structural steel put in to the project.

“We are happy to report that the project is on budget and on schedule for our Spring 2011 opening,” said Stewart Steeves, Vice President of Airport Development at NAD. “The next step is the installation of perimeter walls and the curtain wall systems. The structure will be fully enclosed by October, 2010.”

The second terminal is on target for a 2012 opening with the third in 2013. When finished, the total square feet of the new airport complex will total 571,000 square feet, with an additional one million square feet of aircraft operating surface.

BAHAMIAN ARTWORK COMMISSIONED FOR NEW AIRPORT TERMINALS

Nassau, Bahamas March 24, 2010—The Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD) today announced the commissioning of works by eleven Bahamian artists for the new terminal redevelopment project.

Over the past several months artists were asked to submit their portfolios to the airport’s Artwork Committee. A total of 75 different ideas were presented for final consideration.

The nine-member committee is made up of a cross section of individuals from the local art and culture community, airport executives, architects and members of the business community. The group deliberated carefully on March 11 and 12 until making a final decision.

Dr. Erica James, Director of the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas and a member of the art committee said choosing art to fit an airport terminal was a unique experience.

“In addition to considering the concepts put forth by each artist, we also had to take into account how a diverse audience would relate to the art and how the individual pieces would work in a high traffic environment like an airport.”

Final selections include indoor and outdoor art ranging from traditional concepts to more avant-garde designs.

“We wanted to incorporate art that worked with the overall airport design,” said Craig Richmond, President & CEO at NAD. “Our goal is to use art to convey the natural beauty of the Bahamian archipelago and to give our passengers a feel for the culture of The Bahamas. I believe that we have succeeded in doing that with these selections.”

The following artists were selected for the various phases of construction:

Phase One (2011) – U. S. Departures Terminal

John Beadle

Nicole Sweeting

John Cox

Susan Katz-Lightbourne

Phase Two (2012) – International Arrivals

Maxwell Taylor

Jolyn Smith

Keisha Oliver

Melissa Maura

Imogine Walkine

Phase Three (2013) – International and Domestic Departures; Domestic Arrivals

Dede Brown

John Paul

Approximately $2 million has been allocated for airport artwork. Additional sites for permanent art will be assigned in the coming months. The new development will also incorporate rotating artwork for local artists to display temporary pieces for up to six months in the terminal.

The NAD Artwork Committee consists of:

The Hon. Frank Watson, Art Committee Chair, Chairman, NAD

Craig Richmond, Art Committee Deputy Chair, President & CEO, NAD

Stewart Steeves, Vice President of Airport Development & Project Director, NAD

Ed Fields, Director, NAD

Cyprian Gibson, Director, NAD

Dr. Erica James, Director, National Art Gallery of The Bahamas

Dr. Gail Saunders, Director General, Heritage

Mike Alexiou, NAD Artwork Coordinator

BOND DEAL OF THE YEAR

Nassau, Bahamas March 5, 2010—Project Finance Magazine awarded Nassau Airport Development Company the Latin America Project Bond Deal of the Year for 2009. The publication, a subsidiary of Euromoney Magazine, based its decision on NAD’s ability to secure $265 million to finance stage one of the Lynden Pindling International Airport redevelopment project.

Yesterday, NAD executives travelled to New York to accept the award on behalf of LPIA. Project Finance Magazine looked at the airport management company’s ability to be innovative, show best practice, risk mitigation and problem solving skills during the finance negotiations.

According to the magazine’s website, the evaluation team took into consideration the overall world economic climate when selecting this year’s recipients. “Since the liquidity crunch of 2008…we have judged all deals in the context of the lending climate at the time of financial close.”

Stewart Steeves, Vice President of Project Development and the former Vice President of Finance and CFO at NAD, spearheaded the negotiations. “We were able to raise $40.1 million in $B, $194.9 million in $US and $30 million available in either $B or $US for our expansion project,” Steeves explains. “Once the new terminal opens in the spring of 2011, we will seek subsequent funding for stages two and three.”

A total of 16 investors and lenders along with NAD’s shareholder the Government of The Bahamas provided the capital to begin work on stage one. Funding is broken down into three segments: a $153 million revolving credit facility, a $42 million senior note (bond) facility and a $70 million subordinated participating debt facility.

Stage one of the airport expansion project includes construction of a 247,000 sq. ft. US Departures Terminal and Pier, approximately 1,000,000 sq. ft. of asphalt apron, expanded parking facilities and new roadways. NAD finalized funding in March 2009 and began construction on the new terminal in August 2009.

FOR HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

NASSAU, BAHAMAS February 3, 2010— Today, the Nassau Airport Development Company presented a cheque for more than $20,000 to the Bahamas Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.

Shortly after the major earthquake struck Port-au-Prince last month, staff members formed the NAD Helping Haiti committee with the goal of raising $5000. Company executives agreed to match whatever staff raised dollar for dollar.

“In the aftermath of the earthquake, people from all around the company kept asking what they could to do help Haiti,” said John Terpstra, Vice President of Operations at NAD. “Our executive team was so inspired by the response that we agreed to match whatever the committee raised within a two-week period.”

In addition to traditional donation boxes in the staff lunch room, the committee sold lunch and held a private auction. They appealed to corporate sponsors for assistance and were overwhelmed by the support when donations including airline tickets, spa services, golf passes and more poured in.

“We would like to thank our NAD family for supporting this drive. We have a small team here, less than 150 on staff and we were able to not only meet our initial goal of $5000 but exceed it by more than $15,000,” said Deborah Coleby, Director of Operations at NAD. “We would also like to thank our corporate partners who gave generously to this cause. The people of Haiti will no doubt appreciate your kindness.”
